It's been 12 years already since that terrible tragedy that shook the entire world. I can still remember where I was. I had just arrived home from teaching all morning and when dad called from the shop 'Turn on the tv, America is under attack'. I sat there, transfixed as images of two planes crashing into the towers kept going on in a loop. The whole world was still.
As a friend of mine commented earlier today, this was pre Facebook or Twitter and those towers were never photographed on Instagram. Social media was non existant otherwise news would have spread like wild fire.
September 11 2001. In memory of that dreadful day. RIP to all those innocent victims who tragically lost their lives
